Louisiana’s income tax submitting deadline is June 15th

BATON ROUGE – The 2020 state Louisiana individual income tax filing deadline is June 15, 2021. The Louisiana Department of Treasury granted automatic filing to individual and corporate taxpayers due to the severe winter weather that hit the state in February and extending the payment. The extension applies to income, consumption, franchise, sales, severance and withholding taxes.

Income & Franchise

For income and franchise taxes, the renewal applies to all Louisiana and Texas taxpayers and paid tax advisors, regardless of county or county. The extended due date is June 15, 2021 for individual income, corporate income and franchise, trust income, compound tax returns and payments for partnerships and partnerships with original or extended due dates on or after February 11, 2021 and before June 14, 2021. 2021.

Excise tax, sales, severance pay and withholding tax

For excise, sales, compensation and withholding tax returns and payments due on or after February 11, 2021 and on or before February 28, 2021, the automatically extended due date is March 31, 2021. This extension is available to all Available to individuals and business taxpayers in Louisiana regardless of the county of residence.

The extension is available to Texas personal and business taxpayers whose residence, principal place of business, critical tax records, or paid tax accountants were in areas identified by FEMA as eligible for individual and public assistance.
