Canada’s State Division asks for touch upon the invoice to introduce the luxurious items tax because of the coronavirus

Canada’s Treasury Department opened a consultation on Aug. 10 on a bill to introduce a luxury goods tax due to the coronavirus pandemic. The bill includes measures that: 1) impose a tax on the retail sale of new luxury cars and airplanes priced above $ 100,000 CAD ($ 79,765) less than 10 percent of the full price of the car or airplane, or 20 percent of the price would be over CAD 100,000; 2) a tax on retail sales of new luxury boats at a price in excess of $ 250,000 CAD ($ 199,413) less than 10 percent of the total price of the boat, or 20 …
