“We were the only state in the country that still financed mental health through property taxes, and it is a service that should be financed by the state. And that translates into over $ 100 million in tax savings for taxpayers across the country was really proud to sign that. And besides, it was kind of a third piece of the puzzle. We did a major mental health reform for adults, we created an initial mental health system for children, and then the final piece was stable funding for the future and we could do that with the tax bill. “
