Following our “Local Tax Act Update: COVID-19 Property Tax Relief For Eligible Companies” dated November 17, 2020 (click here for a link), an update was made to the Ontario Government website on December 1, 2020 to expand the COVID-19 property tax refund program to include the following additional businesses that would be eligible when a region is locked::

  • Retail must be closed for personal purchases;
  • Shopping centers;
  • personal services;
  • Driving instruction;
  • Tour and tour guide;
  • Photography services; and
  • Campsites
