GWBR founds De Grandpré Chait, an expanded tax law group

Gérard, an attorney covering all aspects of Canadian and cross-border tax law, handles tax issues related to corporate restructuring, inheritance, indirect taxes, intellectual property and tax credits and assists in the analysis and development of tax planning strategies. He was appointed as a lawyer in Quebec in 2018 and graduated with an LLB from the Université de Montréal, an LLM in Taxes from the HEC Montréal, the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and the Department of Law at the London School of Economics .

Judith Cohen and Haviva Yesgat from GWBR will also join De Grandpré Chait’s litigation group to add family law services.

Cohen, Of Counsel, has served in court for over two decades and has experience in family, inheritance and general civil litigation. Cohen earned her LLB from Université de Montréal in 1996 and admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1998. Yesgat, a lawyer specializing in civil procedural and family law, received her LLB from Université de Montréal in 2019 and was appointed to the bar Quebec Quebec in 2020.
