The governor of Ohio signed a bill on Jan. 7 to implement the recommendations of the Sunset Review Committee for sales and use, excise duty, and individual income tax purposes. The law includes measures: 1) abolition of the committee for the review of the net operating loss of municipal income tax; and 2) Maintain the Tax Credit Authority and the Tax Expenditure Review Committee until December 31, 2024. The law generally comes into effect 90 full days or the 91st day after it is submitted to the Secretary of State. [/OHFINAL2019R1SB331///, enacted 01/07/21]
