Sidewalk replacement continues

SHELBURNE FALLS – The Bridge Street construction project continues this week, with work including removing and replacing a small section of the sidewalk on Water Street near the intersection.

Breezeway Farm Consulting’s Linda Overing, who is distributing project updates on behalf of Shelburne, said there will be no bridge street parking available between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the week in areas with construction work.

Provisional handrails were installed at the entrance steps of the building, which were replaced or set back during the construction of the sidewalk, the statement said. Banisters that are tailor-made for each entrance are made. Installation is expected in about a month.
